Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.28% in Dec 19–Mon
MOSCOW, Dec 27 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation index growth sped up to 0.28% from December 19 through Monday from 0.18% in the previous week, and reached 7.42% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
Fruit and vegetables prices increased by 3% on average in the reporting week. Prices for cucumbers grew by 8.8%, for tomatoes by 4%, for beetroot by 1.8%, for cabbage by 1.6%, and for apples by 1.4%.
Prices for eggs grew by 4%, and for sausages, butter, cheeses by 0.5%, for beef, lamb meat, sour cream, flour, and bread by 0.3%. At the same time, the prices for poultry decreased by 0.8% and for sugar, millet, and buckwheat by 0.2%.
Gasoline prices rose by 0.22% and diesel fuel prices grew by 0.01%.
